BIO

Bishop Van Gayton was born in Olean, NY and was raised in the Church of God in Christ. Van and his wife Ellen committed their lives to The Lord in August 1973.

In 1986 he received his Bachelors degree in Theology and in 1988 his Masters of Theology from the International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida.  He presently holds a Doctorate of Bible Philosophy from Christian Leadership University, a Doctorate of Theology from Faith Theological Seminary and a Masters of Divinity from Logos Graduate School and is presently enrolled in a D. Min program at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando,  Florida.

Bishop Gayton pastored for 20 years and served four years as a Protestant chaplain for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  He has been a guest lecturer for Black History month at such universities as UCLA, Howard, Florida, Michigan, Cornell, Penn State, Buffalo and Niagara.  He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, The Middle East, Central America, Russia and Africa, speaking and conducting leadership-training seminars. He has been an adjunct professor at several Bible Colleges and has taught courses at Jamestown Community College and the University at Buffalo. He hosted "Ask The Pastor", on TCT television in Buffalo NY.

In 1996 Bishop Gayton was consecrated a bishop in unbroken Apostolic Succession, in the Evangelical Episcopal Church located in Oklahoma City, OK. He is the Presiding Bishop of the International Community of Christian Churches, which oversees several churches. The ICCC is a ministry committed to restoring the historical unity of the Body of Christ.

Dr Van Gayton is presently serving as President of Logos Bible College and Seminary located in Jacksonville, Florida. he serves on the Board of Governors for  the Institute of Religion and Public Policy in Washington D.C. The think tank has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.

Bishop Gayton resides in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife Ellen
